BiblioCraft: A book for DIYers + readers

So, maybe because it is spring, or maybe because I"m moving soon and thinking about a new apartment, but I am in the mood to DIY.

In the past, I've been pretty anti-DIY. Like, let the pros do what they're good at and I'll pay them for something I know is great, instead of making a terrible Pinterest-fail type version.

But I found this Make Your Own Bitters Kit and after being inspired by this Brad Thomas Parsons book, I think I'm going to need to make a purchase.

Clearly, this DIY fever bleeds into my love for lit as well, making Jessica Pigza's BiblioCraft book a must for me to at least borrow from the library.

Here's a peak at the inside from Abrams Books:

A little FYI to go with this DIY, Pigza is a rare book librarian at the New York Public Library, which basically sounds like the most magical job of all time.

P.S. Remember that time the internet went NUTS when Lauren Conrad "assassinated" books to make a craft a billion other Pinteresters have created?

Apparently, they took the video down. Whatever. I'll always love you, LC.

maybe the greatest line from The Hills, ever. Since we're on the topic.

headed back home to Michigan in May. Can't wait to stop into City Bird to grab some of these notebooks.

the DUMBEST DIY Real Simple has ever posted (old book smell forever!)
