Everything Is Possible

The beginning of 2014 hasn't been the easiest, but now I'm ready to really start the new year (after I kick this cold). There's a lot on the calendar this year that I'm excited for and a lot that went well in 2013 that I'm happy to continue.

The best motivation for me in accomplishing my goals has always been keeping a small (and uncluttered) collage of inspiration near my workspace. In fact, some of these things have been nearby since I first left home for college.

These notebooks from Kate Spade Saturday fit right in with my plans for 2014.  I own way too many untouched or half-filled notebooks to purchase anymore right now but I'm keeping these shiny little guys in mind.

Seriously, that cover interior. Bam! So Zenon.

Full steam ahead.

Kate Spade's New Literary Inspired Collection

I've always been a big fan of Kate Spade's book clutches, despite their high prices. Anything that brings a little literary love to daily life is fine by me.

Part of their new Fall collection is super lit-inspired and I'm dying a little trying to prioritize my wants needs. (And Christmas is sneaking up on us just so quickly!)

Example, these handbags. I am really enjoying how "in" card catalogs are right now.

There's also a whole bunch of accessories that follow the theme. How lovely is that scarf?

And, of course, they've added a few more book clutches to their collection. If you visit the site, you can see how beautiful the interior fabrics are on these. So so nice.

3 great back-to-school notebooks for design lovers

I have a serious notebook-purchasing problem. Unlike all the unread books on my shelves though, most of the notebooks I own are filled.

Obviously one of my favorite parts of going back to school was always buying new school supplies, including beautiful notebooks. I've been out of school for a few years but if I were shopping for fresh notebooks to take to class hopefully to make them a little more enjoyable, here are three I'd have definitely already purchased (you can never have too many):

1. Esme Winter lined notebooks, $31 for the pair

2. Woodgrain Eco Notebooks from Poketo, $13.50 each in light and dark

3. Kate Spade Saturday notebooks, on sale for $14 each. I love the middle one.

Where do you buy your notebooks for back to school, work or journaling?

New Book Clutch

Oh hey, another nice book clutch from Kate Spade. This time, for Charles Dickens and their color of the month: blue. I believe it was previewed earlier but it's finally available in the shop.

REMINDERS: Warm Colors

The colors in this Kate Spade ad reminded me of this photograph from Zack Bent's title-removing series.

More Book Clutches!

It seems like the designers at Kate Spade have a pretty deep appreciation for literature, because books keep popping up in their collections.

I've mentioned their book clutches before and I'm excited to say they are continuing the clutches in their Fall 2011 Collection. Here's a quick preview from Kate Spade at New York Fashion Week:

So far, the "Tale of Two Cities" clutch might be my favorite. I can't wait to see what other titles they use.
